The University of Extremadura (UNEX) is a public institution committed to Society, whose mission is the comprehensive education and training through the creation of knowledge and the cultural promotion by means of a quality teaching and research. Within the UNEX, two research groups will be involved in the EUMOVE Project: Behavioural Analysis of Physical Activity and Sport Group (ACAFYDE) and the Communication Area Group (AR-CO).

ACAFYDE group is located in the Faculty of Sport Sciences of the University of Extremadura. The Research Team, led by Dr. Tomás García Calvo, develops the research lines in the field of sport sciences and promotion of physical activity.

AR-CO group works within the field of communication, in different lines of research on the influence of communication, communication in organizations, new technologies and the ethical-legal framework of communication, as well as in the elaboration of audio-visual products.

University of Castilla La Mancha (Spain)

University of Castilla La Mancha (UCLM) is a a modern, competitive institution which hosts almost 30.000 students, 2.270 lecturers and researchers and 1.059 administrative and services staff members during the academic course 2017-2018. The Social and Health Research Center (CESS) is a research centre established in 2003 through a partnership agreement concluded between the Regional Ministry of Health of the Regional Government of Castile-La Mancha and the University of Castile-La Mancha. This group is led by Vicente Martínez Vizcaíno, and staff of the centre include professionals with recognised competence within the fields of sociology, medicine, nursing, sports, statistical and physical education, conducting steering, coordination, monitoring and correction of risk factors and research management in the health and care area.

The research team Artificial Intelligence and Representation (AIR) was set up in 2014 at the University of Castilla-La Mancha, and since then has been based at the Higher School of Computer science (ESI) to promote the study, design, development and practical application of Artificial Intelligence techniques in order to solve real problems within the framework of R + D + I with companies or with research projects, in which students at the ESI have the chance to collaborate and there is even a chance of making a doctoral thesis.

The Spanish Agency for Health Protection in Sport (AEPSAD) is a public body through which state policies for the promotion and protection of health in sport are carried out.

For the EUMOVE project, the Department of Sport and Health will be directly involved. This department has the functions of promoting, in collaboration with the Spanish regions and local entities, the promotion of healthy lifestyle thought the promotion of sports activities. This department is responsible for preparing the Health Support Plan for sports activities, including criteria and rules for safe practice, by conducting strategies for the promotion of extracurricular practice.

Moving School 21 (School in Movement after Local Agenda 21) arises from an international comparison and cooperation between 5 European universities on education, quality of urban life, health, the relationship between children and the city. It was started by the University of Berlin in 2002 in collaboration with the IUAV University of Venice – post-graduate course “participatory local action and sustainable urban development” which developed in particular aspects related to participation and urban planning.

The Moving School 21 model takes into consideration the school and its indoor, outdoor and urban dimensions.
